Weld Seattle

Weld Seattle is a lived experience-led non-profit that provides formerly incarcerated individuals with housing, employment opportunities, and resources conducive to recover from substance abuse addiction and successful reintegration back into society. Weld Works, its SE business line, launched in 2019 and provides temporary and permanent employment, training, and retention services for individuals in construction, manufacturing, property maintenance, retail, warehouse, assembly, and administrative roles, with a clear pathway to permanent employment. Employees are also provided with supportive services including one-on-one support for life and work challenges, cash assistance with tuition or certifications, career planning, transportation subsidies, and access to dental and eye exams.

A $200k line of credit loan from RIIF will allow Weld Works to place 800 temporary employees over the next three years.
