Weingart Center for the Homeless: 360 Degree Solutions

With a mission to empower and transform lives by delivering innovative solutions to combat and break the cycle of poverty, the Weingart Center for the Homeless provides homeless individuals in Los Angeles with the skills necessary to stabilize their lives, earn income, and find permanent housing. Recognizing that the biggest barrier to people’s self-sufficiency is lack of employment opportunities, the Weingart Center for the Homeless launched its first line of business, 360 Degree Solutions, a full-service pest management social enterprise that trains and employs the men and women that they serve. REDF helped Weingart identify the pest management business and assisted in launching their enterprise by researching the new business market and preparing an operations and implementation plan. REDF also helped Weingart integrate the delivery of employee support services with their pest control social enterprise.
