Civicorps

Civicorps is a conservation corps organization in Oakland, CA, which runs a charter school as well as social enterprises to train and employ opportunity youth. One of their social enterprises is a recycling collection social enterprise, where they provide apprenticeships for youth. These apprenticeships have the potential to lead to union positions. Civicorps recently partnered with Waste Management to take over their small business recycling accounts, which helped the enterprise grow. REDF supported Civicorps in purchasing a new truck to service the routes.
