CA Future of Work Commission Calls for Action to Build an Inclusive Economy
REDF President & CEO Carla Javits was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to serve on the California Future of Work Commission in 2019, alongside statewide leaders in labor, business, and technology. This week, the Commission released their final report and recommendations to the Governor, which includes investing in employment social enterprises. The Commission co-chairs presented their recommendations in this engaging Aspen Institute webinar, moderated by The New York Times Economics reporter, Eduardo Porter.

REDF Expands Board of Directors with Two New Appointments
Last month, REDF appointed two new Board members – Elena Quintana, Executive Director of the Institute on Public Safety and Social Justice at Adler University, and Maria S. Salinas, President & CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. Their deep expertise in social justice and business will further REDF’s mission of creating a more inclusive economy for all.
