Meet our Inaugural Growth Portfolio

From website development in New Jersey to solar panel installation in Los Angeles, the 13 employment social enterprise grantees in our Growth Portfolio are using the power of social enterprise to build a more inclusive economy. Over the next three years, these growth-stage enterprises will each receive $300K in catalytic capital paired with customized business consulting from the REDF team to take their businesses to the next level.

The 2021 REDF Accelerator has Launched!

The 18 inspiring entrepreneurs in this year’s REDF Accelerator cohort lead organizations that invest in the hidden talent in their communities. Bringing their distinct experiences and insights, they’ll work together for five months to test strategies for growing their businesses and increasing their impact.

Meet our 2021 Farber Summer Fellows

Now in the program’s 23rd year, 10 Farber Fellows from the country’s top business schools will spend 10 weeks this summer working on mission-critical projects for employment social enterprises in REDF’s Growth Portfolio. Farbers use their skills to make an impact that changes lives while forming meaningful and enduring relationships with the other fellows.

Five Years of Fueling Growth

In 2016, REDF put a five-year strategy in motion focused on fueling exponential growth of the employment social enterprise sector. Our goal: 50,000 people employed with the skills, stability, and work experience needed to build a better life. Together with our ESE partners, we exceeded our ambitious goal by 20 percent with over 61,000 people employed!
