Parents by Choice

Parents by Choice, our local nonprofit agency dedicated to supporting youth and their families.

Since our humble beginnings in 2006 as a foster care agency, Parents by Choice has evolved significantly to meet the diverse needs of our community. In 2011, we introduced the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering parents in the community to raise children effectively and prevent unnecessary entries into the foster care system.

Building on this success, we have continued to expand our services over the years. From Transitional Housing for youth aging out of foster care to Mental Health Services and more, our range of programs has grown to over 10 distinct initiatives, each designed to go above and beyond in supporting our youth and families.

One of our newest programs, the Youth Workforce Development Program. Geared towards youth in Stockton aged 16 to 30, this initiative focuses on providing essential job experience, resume building assistance, interview skills, and more. Our goal is to equip young individuals with the tools they need to succeed in the workforce and beyond.
