Los Angeles LGBT Center

The Los Angeles LGBT Center social enterprise includes an intergenerational culinary training program, a coffee shop, and a catering operation. At the core, a commercial teaching kitchen produces fresh and nutritious meals for youth and senior residents and members. Overseen by an executive chef instructor, the kitchen is staffed with students completing a 300-hour culinary training program. Graduating up to 100 students a year, the program provides the foundation of required culinary skills for students to secure jobs and pursue meaningful careers in the hospitality industry. Their social enterprise, Liberation Coffee House, offers grab and go meals, pastries, a full espresso bar, and catering as well.
