Reena De Asis

Senior Manager, Government Partnerships & Policy

Reena manages the Los Angeles Regional Initiative for Social Enterprise (LA:RISE) program, which spans several initiatives: County, City, and Youth Academy. LA:RISE is an innovative partnership that unites the City and County of Los Angeles to help people with high employment barriers get jobs, stay employed, and build a better life. To date, 38 partners county-wide have provided jobs, training, and support to over 7,500 Angelenos.

As the Senior Manager, Government Partnerships & Policy, Reena is responsible for managing the LA:RISE team, fostering existing partnerships, and forming new relationships with local government, businesses, philanthropy, and nonprofits.

Prior to REDF, Reena was the Executive Director of Dress for Success Worldwide-West, an international nonprofit focused on empowering women to achieve economic independence, and Director of Marketing for Causecast, a B Corp that helps companies build highly engaged workplaces through employee philanthropy solutions. With a passion for social impact work, she joined REDF to help solve some of society’s biggest challenges.

Reena studied Communications: Public Relations with a minor in Human Services at California State University, Fullerton, graduating cum laude. She is a leadership L.A. fellow with the Southern California Leadership Network and has a certificate in nonprofit organizational leadership from CSUF. In her free time, you can find Reena serving on the leadership council of Downtown Women’s Center, frolicking in nature, promoting a plant-based lifestyle, or immersed in Los Angeles’ vibrant live music scene. She is also the founder of Inclusive Sol, a cerebral palsy resource platform.
