Kennedy Joseph is a senior associate on the Government Partnerships & Policy team, where she works on the County Initiative of the LA:RISE program. In this role, Kennedy is responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with service providers, managing program implementation, and providing technical assistance to program partners. Kennedy is passionate about creating pathways to financial and social stability for people overcoming employment barriers, and her work with the LA:RISE program allows her to pursue this passion by aiding in the development of structural systems to better serve these individuals.
Kennedy was most recently the senior program manager at the Brotherhood Crusade, where she managed the California Violence Intervention and Prevention Grant Program (CalVIP), California Youth Reinvestment Grant Program (CalYRG), and other youth development initiatives aimed at preventing violence and incarceration.
She earned her master’s in forensic psychology from Arizona State University shortly after completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology in May 2019. In her free time, Kennedy enjoys taking her dog, Malcolm, on hikes and camping trips, and growing herbs and vegetables.
