Jalpa is also a certified diversity coach and lends her expertise to coaching leaders across the sector.
Born to refugee and entrepreneurial parents, Jalpa has always been drawn to working directly with business leaders making a deep social impact. Before joining REDF, she spent four years at United Way Bay Area in various roles, including as Director of Rise Together, a partnership of over 250 Bay Area organizations working to reduce poverty in the region—an experience that continues to inform her work.
Jalpa was born and raised in Leicester, England. She received her B.A. in sociology and politics from the University of Northampton and her M.A. in international relations from the University of Leicester. Before moving to San Francisco in 2012, she worked as a child protection coordinator for the Leicestershire Police Department as a case manager for at-risk children.
Outside of work, Jalpa is busy raising her three small children and exploring the beautiful parks of Northern California.
