As director of Development, Deana leads the team that manages revenue generation from individual donors and institutional funders at REDF. She thrives when working at the intersection of a compelling mission and a smart strategy and is excited to bring her expertise into the world of employment social enterprises. Prior to joining REDF, Deana led development teams at an independent school founded to address educational inequality, and a citywide arts organization that used artmaking to promote healing among those impacted by trauma. She also led the Congressman Elijah Cummings Youth Program and managed a scholarship program for first-generation college students.
Deana completed her bachelor’s degree at Boston University and holds a certificate in executive nonprofit leadership from Georgetown University as well as a graduate degree in nonprofit leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a board member of Samuel Ready Scholarships, Inc., an organization that provides academically promising young women financial aid to attend Baltimore-area independent high schools.
Deana is a proud Baltimore native (and football fan), living in Philadelphia with her husband and three children. Whenever possible, she can be found relaxing poolside or by the ocean.
