In the role of chief financial and administrative officer, Lisa Schwallie provides strategic leadership, fiscal oversight, and operational management across the organization. She leads finance, human resources, information technology, legal compliance, and facilities, helping to ensure that REDF’s mission is fulfilled through efficient, effective, and strategic operations.

Before joining REDF, Lisa worked in higher education as executive director for business and operations for MIT’s Open Learning, as CFO for the Harvard Library, and as director of the MBA program office at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She also spent time as a consultant for McKinsey & Company, where she was a member of the strategy and corporate strategy practices, working in the London, Warsaw and San Francisco offices. Lisa graduated with an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, and a bachelor’s in physics and philosophy from Duke University, where she was a 4-year athlete.

Outside of work, Lisa can be found rowing on the Charles River, walking her dog in the woods, or subjecting her husband and three children to experimental recipes in her Boston suburbs kitchen.
