Adrienne Chuck, Manager on the Government Partnerships & Policy team, oversees the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Employment Social Enterprise project. She works with the Employment Development Department, California Workforce Association, and Third Sector Capital Partners to ensure ESEs are connected to their local workforce systems and have the support needed to successfully implement their employment strategies serving individuals with barriers to employment.
Adrienne has spent her career building pathways to opportunity for under-resourced populations. She was most recently at the San Diego Workforce Partnership, where she led initiatives to establish career tracks that provided sustainable livelihoods for 250 job seekers with barriers to employment annually. Adrienne launched the first-ever Workforce Board-offered 0% interest loan for training, and explored the integration of blended capital from government, philanthropy, and renewable financing to provide comprehensive programming for job seekers. Her background also includes building operational systems for nationwide education programs and advising early-stage social innovators.
Adrienne holds a master’s in public policy from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s in international studies from Middlebury College. Outside of work, you can find her paddling into the ocean on her longboard, painting watercolor portraits, or planning her next national park road trip.
