Working Fields

Working Fields is a lived experience-led, mission-driven staffing agency based in Vermont. Founded in 2016, Working Fields employs individuals recovering from substance abuse and people who have been formerly incarcerated.  They offer recovery coaching to help individuals build a meaningful life that includes employment, and help to create a community of recovery-friendly workplaces that treat people in recovery or those with justice-system involvement in a supportive and equitable manner. A $200K loan from REDF Impact Investing Fund will accelerate Working Fields’ growth plan to scale its business to 10 locations, while expanding to employ 300 temporary associates a year and several full-time employees.
