Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse

Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse (ERW) promotes sustainable deconstruction and building practices. Reclaimed materials, procured at zero cost, are sold at the warehouse at a slightly reduced cost to the community and support ERW’s education, job training, and job development programs which foster individual, community, and economic growth in Evanston and beyond. A $110k bridge loan, paired with a $40k working capital loan from RIIF, will support ERW’s move into a new leased space alleviating current capacity constraints. With ERW’s expansion, they’re projected to hire over 30 individuals per year in their workforce development program, with graduates transitioning into living-wage careers, ideally in the building trades.
