FareStart

Since 1992, FareStart has provided culinary training and employment to people with barriers to employment. They know poverty is a perpetual cycle—especially for people who are experiencing homelessness, in recovery, or previously incarcerated. FareStart helps people overcome the barriers to employment by developing the work and life skills they need to have lifelong careers. Based in Seattle, WA, FareStart operates restaurants, cafes, a catering business, and contract meal production, fueled by the talent and hard work of their students.
