Our work to build a more inclusive society where all people have the jobs and support they need is more important than ever. The economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic will be especially severe for the small and medium sized businesses that make up the employment social enterprise sector. It will be devastating for the people they employ―individuals striving to rebuild their lives after homelessness, incarceration, struggles with mental illness and addiction, and young people without jobs, education or a support network.
The need for the jobs and support social enterprise businesses provide will increase exponentially as we emerge from this crisis. REDF is committed to ensuring the sector is ready to meet the demand.
Deploying emergency funding to cover immediate needs of social enterprises and preserve social enterprise viability.
Facilitating peer support through virtual convenings and advice from practitioners, and providing fact-based information to help social enterprises make sense of available resources.
Social Enterprise Resources
Advocating for federal policies that bring resources to benefit social enterprises and providing technical assistance on maximizing public crisis response funds.
