Position Overview

As the Human Resources Talent and Operations Manager, you think strategically and execute operationally. You will optimize human resource workflows to support change and growth, and will implement or enhance technology tools and manual processes to achieve scalable efficient solutions. Initially, you will focus on all aspects of hiring and career management before moving to more responsibility optimizing human resource operations. You bring significant practical experience and knowledge, knowing when to reach out to external networks and colleagues to help problem solve. You thrive in ambiguous situations and bring maturity, leadership, professionalism, and an ability to foster a collaborative growth mindset culture. You report directly to the Director of Talent and will collaborate closely with the CFAO and REDF directors.


  • HR Operations. Ensure clear communication, handoffs, collaboration, and systems and workflow integrations for all core HR workflows and systems. Model, plan, optimize, automate, and enhance all HR operation workflows. Clearly define and communicate workflows and divisions of responsibility, create clarity around roles and accountability, and provide excellent user experiences.
  • Hiring Process. Enhance the current end-to-end hiring process which reflects REDF’s culture and DEI principles. Provide outstanding support and guidance to Hiring Managers, and clearly define HR and Hiring Manager responsibilities. Ensure a positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.
  • Career Progression. Maintain and manage job grids/descriptions. Manage access to career opportunities and training. Perform compensation market analysis and benchmarking.
  • Reporting and Analysis. Develop management reporting tools for HR staff, Hiring Managers, and REDF Directors. Track and report on key HR metrics. Develop analytical tools and perform ad hoc analyses as required. Benchmark performance against internal and external metrics and goals.
  • Assist the Talent Director with other projects and assignments as required.


  • Bachelors degree in related field, or sufficient relevant experience. 5-7 years of experience executing HR operations and tasks. Hiring and talent management experience highly valued.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing HR operations, workflows, and systems.
  • Hands-on mentality. Comfortable automating and building processes from the ground up.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent HRIS, and MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
