Inner City Kitchen

Inner City Kitchen (ICK) is a project led by Chef Crystal Blanchette to catalyze economic development in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, the heart of the largest Black communities on the West Coast, by operating a modern food hall with local vendors, healthy food options, and retail services.

A recent $365,000 predevelopment loan from REDF Impact Investing Fund (RIIF) will help ICK begin construction of the food hall by retrofitting an existing commercial building and repurposing shipping containers. The modern food hall will become a culinary and cultural destination, supporting local entrepreneurs, offering healthy food options, and meeting the needs of families in South Los Angeles.
