Farber Internship 2017
Job Type: Full-time Summer Internship
Region: Interns placed at a social enterprise within REDF’s Portfolio will work on-site at that organization in the Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco (Bay Area), and Seattle.
The REDF Farber Program is a leadership program designed to provide graduate students who have a passion for social change the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop essential skills and build a network in the fields of social enterprise and venture philanthropy. For the past 20 years, the program has offered students a unique opportunity to apply their business skills to strategic projects in an entrepreneurial nonprofit context. REDF’s work straddles the for-profit and nonprofit worlds; consequently Farber internships are relevant to careers in both sectors. Farber Alumni are starting new social enterprises, managing foundations and nonprofits, leading socially responsible companies, consulting to mission-driven organizations and launching start-ups. Portfolio Associate (2 positions)

The Portfolio Associate will assist REDF’s portfolio of social enterprises in achieving their goals by providing hands-on, targeted business assistance, and working closely with REDF Portfolio Managers to act as advisors/coaches for individual portfolio organizations. The Portfolio Associate will also participate in REDF’s overall portfolio and programs strategy development, due diligence, and field building and knowledge development through tool creation and research projects.
